Over the past few weeks, we have explored the boundaries of this ancient technique, producing contemporary environmental responses aligned with the provided letterpress brief.

In preparation for these workshops, I created a range of thumbnail sketches, experimenting with text size, orientation, and color. To deepen my understanding of letterpress printing, I researched the works of letterpress artists Anthony Burrill and Alan Kitching.

We printed on various backgrounds, which provided context for the prints and created unique, eye-catching contrasts within the compositions. Our inspiration drew from lyrics, either from songs or poems. I selected Noah Kahan, as his music evokes significant moments of self-discovery for me.
