The aim of this project was to redesign an existing building in Glasgow, with each item inside having the ability to transform, adapting an entirely different event space between day and night. As a group, we decided to explore the idea of transforming the Glasgow Subway into a disco. This disco would operate during the night when the subway is closed. This provides a fun alternative for extending travel times later into the night. Functional and enjoyable. Using something already used by thousands and loved city wide, this will be an outstanding factor to the growing nightlife and even Glasgows economy.

For my delegated task, I designed, sewed and constructed a small subway seat model. This was a great addition to our project as it showcased the 3 main areas of transformation, the seat, the banners, and the flooring.

I am very proud of the work my team has created throughout this project, intersecting our unique multi disciplinary skills to construct a well rounded and diverse project.
